Creation of UFINET and Cable Development

In 1998, Unión Fenosa incorporated UFINET, a new company formed from the company's own telecommunications department, which historically had been managing the services required for electricity operation and which, from that moment on, began to provide services to external telecommunications operators. In this year, Gas Natural creates Cable Development. At the same time, Spain began the telecommunications liberalization process, which meant the entry of new operators into the market with the need for new alternative networks.
