UFINET enters Brazil with the acquisition of Netell Telecom, a high-quality fiber optic operator in São Paulo.

UFINET, one of Latin America’s leading international carrier of carriers, has entered into an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Netell Telecom, one of Brazil’s primary wholesale carriers. The agreement has been signed in June 2019, at the International Telecommunications Week (ITW).
 
With this acquisition, UFINET enters Brazil, one of the most important markets in Latin America. With NETELL’s network coverage in São Paulo’s metropolitan area and a broader regional reach, this acquisition will allow UFINET to better serve its global customers in Latin America. “We believe this is a very important step both for us and our customers. UFINET will leverage and expand NETELL’s network to offer to our global clients a suite of wholesale services of unparalleled quality and capillarity in Brazil, continuing the relentless growth of UFINET’s business in the Latin America Region” said Stefano Lorenzi, UFINET’s Executive Chairman.
